Welcome to Valeo
Podiatry grounded in movement science, helping you move comfortably every day
Our mission is simple: to keep you moving — in your sport, in your daily life and through all ages. As a specialist musculoskeletal podiatry clinic in Dunblane, Valeo provides expert foot care, biomechanical assessment, and targeted treatment for foot, ankle and lower limb pain.
Taking inspiration from valeo, the Latin for ‘to be strong,’ we believe in the power of movement for health and wellbeing and are committed to helping you stay active and pain-free.
Feet are the foundation of movement
They absorb impact, provide stability, and influence the function of the joints above them. When the feet are not functioning well, the body adapts — often in ways that create overload, pain, or reduced efficiency either locally or higher up the chain.
At Valeo, we start at the feet because they’re the first point of contact with the ground. By understanding how they load, adapt, and interact with the rest of your body, we can restore better mechanics, reduce pain, and help you move with confidence.
Testimonials
My appointment with Ruth was genuinely one of the most useful and interesting health care appointments I've ever had. Quick to reply to enquiries, easy to book and great after care advice.Jo Pudelko
Fantastic service from start to finish. Comprehensive diagnosis with recovery plan broken down into manageable chunks. The results have far exceeded my expectations and couldn't recommend highly enough.David MacLennan
I booked to seek some advice regarding some forefoot pain since increasing my running load. Ruth took the time to understand my goals and history and was very adept at identifying the root cause of the issue and explaining in a manner I was able to understand. We agreed on a treatment/management plan that would allow me to continue training with some small adaptations as well as some preventative exercises to help improve my pain. Really happy with my visit, and has given me the confidence to co time my training without worrying about potentially doing more damage and picking up a more serious injury further down the road.Stuart McKay
I was recommended to see Ruth by a friend as I kept having recurring achilles problems that were impacting on my running. Ruth gave me a detailed plan that allowed me to get back to running and I now have a better understanding of how to manage things if it happened again.Aileen McIntosh
Ruth has been welcoming and professional, she took the time to comprehensively review my symptoms and issues and clearly has a lot of expertise in podiatry. Ruth provided advice and options in an easy to understand way and gave a range of available treatment options which I’m hopeful will help alleviate my issues.Matt
I’m on my feet all day for work, and the heel pain was becoming unbearable. Ruth did a detailed assessment and explained everything clearly. I’m now pain‑free and back to my normal routine.Jenny Mitchell
Ruth took the time to understand what mattered to me. She clearly explained the factors that were adding to my foot pain and reassured me that we could get things under control in time for going on holiday.Moira Ferguson
Ruth was very knowledgeable and gave me a clear plan to strengthen the imbalance in my leg muscles and helped me understand how it was impacting my pain when walking and running.Graeme Webster
Had an issue with my big toe before my marathon, was really worried that all my training would have been for nothing. I booked online for the next day appointment and went along. After spending 10 minutes or say talking about the issue I was asked to stand up and some mobility tests were taken as well as some walking tests. With all this information Ruth was able to reassure me I would still be able to take part on race day and provided me with some taping methods and exercises to strengthen weaker muscles. Before I went in a bit depressed expecting the worst and I came out chipper and excited. Ruth is amazing, funny, kind and incredibly knowledgeable. I cannot recommend more if you are having issues or concerns with your feet.Marius Saunders
Ruth's wealth of experience really shines through. After a comprehensive assessment of feet, joints & gait she quickly identified the key issues & gave practical exercises & helpful footwear advice. Highly recommend! Eleanor Morrison
